Man, some of the creativity gone into some Fabias is awesome! But I'm afraid I will never be that way. For me, its about the engine power, performance, going fast, stopping quick, and cornering. Heading for 260bhp soon.

Jason, I don't think you'll be allowed to transport fuel on the ferry. Anyhow, what's the overall saving going to be eh!, it'll hardly be barely worth it mate. Gotta watch the pennies mate, then they'll be pounds. f***ing hell, I sound like someone off Mary f***ing Poppins.

Worse in France than CZ? A website I read said it would be roughly 75p a litre in France too. Makes sense as I can fill up in Calais on the way over, and then top up my car and two jerry cans with diesel on the way back.

It seems France is a fair bit cheaper, so I think I'll be taking two jerry cans, and filling up with diesel in Calais. 30K/l is still about 75p in my language, and I'm paying about £100p..... Basically, anywhere I fill up outside the UK will be cheaper.

Trying to plan whether it will be cheaper to stock up on diesel in CZ? What's your current diesel per litre rate? I can work it out from the koruna (or however its spelt) I'm hoping its around 20/25 Koruna a litre.....

Navman ICN630, using SmartST V2 software. Seems to be a blank space over CZ... Maybe its so old, it was before you guys joined the EU??? I'm not fussed. Will probably grab a road map at the border, or something like that.

Any other locals up for this? I've got maps loaded on to my sat nav... Problem is CZ isn't on the CDs.. DOH! Going to have to rely on a proper map in CZ. At least the E50 goes straight to Prague.

I like the car and I appreciate how its fairly unique and there won't be another one like it. I can't say I really like the bonnet "bad boy" patterns, but again its unique and a one-off so is cool. I like to think the same of mine, but it needs more work still. Have you got remote boot opening? Is that an amplifier in the foot mat? Much work to relocate rear plate? (lighting?) I like it

Well, we've all got an apartment booked in Prague, so little point dragging along camping gear as well. I think the other chaps in our group may want to experience the Prague nightlife as well.

I have read up on the speed limits. Your motorway limit of 80mph is very leniant. We only have 70mph. And many other limits are nearly the same as here too. Are we going to be more precise with where we will be meeting? Are we going to say 3pm in the car park at the Skoda place in Mlada Boleslav?
