Hi, I had the same problem. After encoding TA and especially activating KLR, I immediately got the message emergency and travel assist unavailable after switching on. The HC Variant 1 setting activated TA, but the unit drivers reported communication errors due to KLR. Even though I have a 3-spoke steering wheel with a TA button, KLR is not installed, which was confirmed by unit 19. See the pictures for the adaptation.

I returned HC1 and deactivated KLR and EA and kept looking. When I did the long coding in unit A5 by switching to the character bytes in the top right 0.1, I found the steering cap + Ta button option in byte 17, see the picture.

After activating this option, the errors disappeared and the TA button activates TA without a problem. I turn on ACC with the ACC lever or return to the original value, but when I press the TA button on the steering wheel, the graphics switch to TA and TA runs. It starts from 30km but brakes to a stop and starts again as ACC. The TA button does not have a memory of the set speed, when you press only TA, the current speed is set and I can adjust it with the cruise control lever.
