Thanks Petr. What I do fancy though is some small stickers with the CZ flag on. - About 1.5" wide x 0.75" high. I will probably get these in the UK though.

GOOD NEWS! I bought the one off the above Lexus! SO I DON'T NEED ONE NOW
-
Can you tell me how you fitted Octavia vRS 256mm brakes to the back please? How much of the octavia brakes did you need? Thanks
-
Just wondering if a date has been set so far ahead at all? I could do with knowing in regards to Briskoda CZ 2009.
-
I have a picture now Not the best picture, but apparently it came from a big store called "GLOBUS" If this is helpful. Thanks
-
Thanks If you can find an entire surround at a reasonable price, I will have the whole thing. Unfortunately with me being over here I have no idea where to get them from. I think my friend said he got his from a petrol station and was quite cheap. It was the usual surround like you got me last time, but this one has the Cesky Republika bit a little smaller, and there's only one CZ flag on it. On the left of the "Cesky" bit, there is a coat of arms, like 3 shields with patterns on. On the very left hand side it had this flap which folded down so you could get the plate in and out. I would like the whole thing if possible. Let me know if you happen to stumble across one. I wish I could be more helpful knowing where to get one, but on google I can only find the surrounds like I already have fitted.

Hello - I saw a CZ numberplate surround recently... It had, on the left hand side, a fold down CZ (euro) flagged section. The numberplate was a "CESKY REPUBLIKA" one, but not like mine. This one had a three coat of arms symbol on it as well. I am REALLY REALLY after this CZ stickered fold down section of this numberplate surround, so I can "make it fit" into my own numberplate surround and keep the CZ thing with my car. Have paypal ready for anyone who can get this little flap piece for me. Regards Jason PS: Hope Skodahome are all well. Briskoda trip in 2009 very likely with me organising!

Birmingham is a BIG city! Lots of ethnic diversity Chinatown is good if you like Chinese food Has issues with crime and the like, as do most cities Plenty to see and do there Has international airport which I bet does direct flights to Prague

Hello Is it 4 wheel drive as well? Interesting project and keen to know more about the engine and how it works in the fabia. Wiring? Are you using Audi S3 dashboard and instruments?
-
Interesting to hear how the quattro comes on. My car is my daily car so I cannot rip it apart like you can, + you seem to have a very good garage there where you can design stuff and take your time. Do you know Cajicek from turbodevils team? He has a 4wd diesel fabia. I am just going to hope to get into the 13s with some big slicks and a bit more power.
-
Best 1/4 mile to date is 15 seconds flat, but with a 96mph closing speed - shows I was really struggling for grip off the line but was able to make up some good speed in the last 1/8 mile. I hope to get some 240mm wide slicks, which should help with grip off the line. This was done early last year though, so I have the diff fitted, the new clutch, and I was on standard road tyres then too.
-
Well, I have fitted a peloquin diff, and have a superlight flywheel and uprated clutch - so I hope I can improve on my 2007 attempts. I just can't wait to get the ported head & inlet manifold, race injectors fitted, and get it mapped again.

1100 is very light for a TDI. Because I have the pd130 engine and 6 speed box in mine it weighs about 1250kg and that is with some other lightening. There's not much more I can do, but keep it as a daily driver car. My aircon has gone, carbon fibre bonnet. Light flywheel has helped. But I have a propane tank in the boot, and a NOS bottle, so it can still feel a bit too heavy (which is why I need about 300bhp for the best performance)
-
Wow! Is that still the original PD100 engine as well? I'm running 240hp through a PD130 engine as a daily driver, but I hope soon to have almost 300hp. Can you tell me more about the maximiser as I have a standard on/off switch for my Wizards of NOS kit. What do you estimate the power to be? Also, have you replaced many body parts with carbon fibre? The car must be quite light?

AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH! Leaving in 3 hours! EEEEK!

The hybrid is prepped and ready. She's faster than she was last year - and less smoke. I forgot, yes it was FRIDAY. Thursday is our staropramen tour, and hopefully a few beers in the evening in Prague town centre. Weather is looking very good. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/5day.shtml?world=0055 It's almost like someone up there know's we're coming on Wednesday.
-
It's all becoming very real now! ONLY 3 DAYS TO GO UNTIL WE LEAVE! See you all thursday afternoon for some MIMON action all being well!
-
259? Eeek! I was hoping for some reason it would be cheaper than in the UK, but that is about the same. It is the kits I want - with 1 spraycan paint, 1 can of lacquer. If it's no cheaper than 259, I will get some here in England.

HELLO! Anyone going to the Doksy Show / Mimon airfield able to get me SIX packs of Skoda Diamond Silver metallic paint, please? I'm hoping a single pack of paint (one can lacquer, one can paint) is no more than around 120 crowns, hopefully less. I shall pay back anyone who can get me six (please let me know price first) of this paint. I am colour coding mad on my car, and need some stocks. Thanks
-
Very nice pictures. Shame the car can't come with us to the Doksy show in Czech Republic on 15th September.
-
Oh, we're booked in for a tour of Skoda museum and the factory. ALso doing the Doksy Skoda show on the Saturday.
-
I have a silver metallic one already boxed up, so can bring that one. Well, I've sold the silver one now, so have none to bring with me. I think that price tag of 1800 crowns might be too much, as the exchange rate really does not favour people in CZ. People can see my bracket though and make their own minds up at the Doksy Show / Airfield days.

Only FOUR weeks now. If anyone wants a lifter kit fitted when I come please let me know soon. The rough cost when converting into crowns is 1800 crowns (£45 x 40) but there is some leeway on this. Thanks

Hello all. Realised that is only just over FOUR WEEKS that we leave for the Czech Republic. I am getting myself ready as are the 19 other Skodas coming along too. Couple of things: How much is Diesel / Petrol in Czech nowadays? I noticed you now get almost 40 crowns to the pound, which is much better than last year. How many trips are planned to the Mimon airfield? SIX? What is there to see and do in Prague, as we have a day at least spare to go sightseeing. Can anyone tell me the best bars to drink in, and possibly even more to do with the nightlife? Thanks. Yours excitedly. Jason
