  1. A video or two to bring back some memories.
  2. I make it under 6 months. Sounds a bit closer saying it that way.
  3. Looks like the weekend we wanted is the one, eh?
  4. Czech isn't just hard to understand, it's really hard to speak it too. Petr had a full time job as a translator on the Briskoda roadtrip last year.
  5. I would only need a rear one if I do get one. I have asked him for a pic. My front plate is a "sticker" one as I cannot use a normal plastic plate - not enough room on the bumper.
  6. This might be a bit of a weird request. I want to make my back plate look like it came from Czech. I wondered if somehow I could get a sticker made / bought that would give the effect on the left hand side to give that blue colour, with the CZ letters in it? I already have a Mlada Boleslav numberplate surround so want to finish it off right. Any ideas people? I thought it best to ask the locals first.
  7. About 70mm all around, maybe a bit more. I don't really know as they are adjustable and I just put them at a height I liked the look of - and made sure no arches rubbed on tyres.
  8. Shiny shiny. VW 17" Evolo wheels. Very nice for standard VW fitment.
  9. I have some Rage bucket seats in now - not too "bucket"y but more like Recaros. A mate spent about 4 hours on each Fabia subframe to adapt them to fit the bucket seats - Was a LOT of work without much gain really. In the long run I will simply fit the vRS seats in mine, or the darker ones of the same shape from the "Sport" trim.
  10. Ahem - the interior is a little shocking at the moment. I'm focussing so much on engine tuning, that the interior is being neglected. It is more or less standard aside from a couple of more ass-hugging seats that have gone in. I will concentrate on the interior ready for the show season.
  11. That's the weekend we plan to be there (as well as plenty of other days during the week beforehand)
  12. Is a date set for this yet? People in the UK who want to come along need to start thinking about booking the time off pretty soon, as we'll be coming over for much longer this time. Is September 15th / 16th still looking very likely and is there any way to pin down the organisers to this weekend? I personally will probably come on the Monday 10th, and stay for 5 whole days, travelling back the following Monday.
  13. Yes - similar. Although I would prefer those which have no "stalk" at all. They just sit flush to the door and just come a little bit out into the open.
  14. Not much has really changed since the Briskoda - Czech Republic trip from last September. I do now have a carbon fibre bonnet fitted (sprayed silver to keep weight down) and a badgeless grille. Here's some pics taken on scenic areas around where I live - I'm lucky to live right by the sea. I tried to be as "arty" as I could with some of the photos
  15. Has anyone got any they can show me? Any pictures. Looking for a good set of aerodynamic M3 or DTM mirrors (DTM more) Would like to retain the heated demisting function, and the electric up/down/left/right as well. Has CZ got anything to offer being the home of Skoda?
  16. And U look like clever man to me, Jason. Belgian_FILA: Audi TT seats? Looks can be deceptive my Czech-mate. (see the chess pun there? ) I just saw it and thought it looked like a sofa.
  17. Looks like stitching in leather upholstery to me. is it?

How come this was moved to the English section? Ignore me, I see it was posted wrong first time. Carry on!
  19. Merry Xmas to all of skodahome. Looking forward to being back over there again next year.
  20. I know the vRS bumper is a bit lower at the front and a bit more straight down and in, whereas the older bumpers (like mine, although mine's a bit modded) have more curvy gradual lines in and under, which means the splitter does not work as well. I have no plans to fit one as I think it affects the aerodynamics at speed. I think my smoother bumper and curves makes it a little better. The vRS bumper will go on any other fabia, but you would need to find the round foglights (mine are square) and make sure all the trim is there. I like that bumper, but I just want to keep mine more "old skool" looking - retain some of the car's original style.
  21. Modify a splitter from a Leon Cupra R ? A lot of people over here have fitted that to the fabia vRS, which has the sporty front bumper as standard.

Although I have just put 215/40 R17s on the front of mine. Excellent grip and better rim protection.

    Help to Miha

A power steering sensor is a relatively easy thing to change. The sensor is lodged in the steering rack somewhere and a wire runs to a connector on the power steering pump. When the sensor breaks, the pump goes all weird and starts demanding power randomly, hence it causing the lights to go blinky - mine did this too. I bought a sensor from Ebay for about £40 and fitted it in around half an hour - was easier to do with the car on a lift though.

You guys are always using the smiley though. hehe. I would say any fabia is happy on 17" rims with 205/40 R17 tyres.
