It seems that the general opinion on Briskoda is that they want to come out in September again, I don't suppose a date for Doksy will have been organised that far ahead?.

I think the guy's are interested in 'Doksy' again but it would be dependant on dates. We may hold out until the September one but again it depends on what interest we get on Briskoda. PS. Nice to hear from you again Petr, hows the new car?.

There has been a lot of interest in a return visit to see you all again sometime in 2007 but we would very much like to coordinate it with the National Meet weekend or another significant event. If you know of or have the dates for anything major coming up in say the Spring time or perhaps later in the year please could you let me know. It is also an absolute condition of the meet to visit that wonderful airfield of yours too Looking forward to it already

Des's car is quick no question of that, but to achieve 290 km/h (180 mph) is just not feasable as the runway isn't sufficiently long enough to achieve that kind of speed. On the second trip to the airfield, a race prepped bike was shooting up and down that runway at astronomical speeds, again at claimed speeds of over 290 km/h but the bike appeared to be going faster than any of the cars I had seen over the weekend.

Thankyou to everyone for making this trip so memorable. It was a wonderful experience, especially that airfield which makes me smile everytime I think about it. We are indeed leaving to return home on Sunday unfortunately. On the Saturday then, are you going to meet us in Prague and escort us to the National Meet?.

He did indeed pick it up today and very nice it is too, Race Blue OctyII vRS with quite a few extra's. You will meet him in a couple of weeks , minus car unfortunately.

How did you manage that Des? , I take it you are up for the national meet on the Saturday too?.

You shouldn't have gone to all that trouble for us with the National Meet on the Saturday, we feel obliged to turn up now Oh btw J I think youv'e got carried away with the numbers, at the last count it's 6 cars, 12 people!.

OK, an update from the UK contingent. We now have 10 people in 5 cars (maybe 6 cars!) and all are looking forward to this immensely. Of the 5/6 cars I would say that three have been heavily modified starting with a 350bhp MkI Octy vRS a 220bhp Fabia and a 280bhp MkII Octy vRS!, mmmm nice!. Looking forward to meeting you all and counting down the days to the 15th Sept

Jason, I don't think you'll be allowed to transport fuel on the ferry. Anyhow, what's the overall saving going to be eh!, it'll hardly be barely worth it mate.

Jason dear boy, they will find us. After all there will be at least FIVE UK 'plated' Skoda's in the museum car park THREE of which are heavily modified and plastered with 'BRISKODA' stickers, not exactly difficult to miss!
