Publikováno Květen 22, 200718 r Hello! I've got a Skoda Octavia 1.9 TDI 2002 and a strange whistling noise came out a couple of months ago. It starts from the moment I start the engine, and goes out in a few minutes when the engine warms up a bit (everything happens while standing in place, not riding). It is rhytmical and sounds like a leak of compressed air, it is fair loud and comes out from right side of the engine... It becomes more frequent while I press the accellerator. Can somebody please suggest what could it be? Thanks.
Květen 25, 200718 r Hello! Does your engine works normally? Some extra smoke from exhaustor or power is normal? Any other issue? Just sound?
Květen 28, 200718 r Autor Yes, everything else seems to be working normally... Only the noise I wrote about... I suspect it could be turbo, because I have broken the radiator of the turbo and had it replaced, maybe they did something wrong with it, but thay didn't find anything wrong serveral times... What other possibilities could be?
Červen 26, 200718 r Autor Well. maybe the engine started to work a bit louder and there is a bit of power loss... Someone, please tell what possibilities it could be!!!
Červenec 12, 200718 r Autor I posted a video where you can here that noise on Youtube. Plase come and see it and help me figure out what problems might be in my engine... The video is here thank you.
Listopad 2, 200717 r Maybe it's your tightener pulley if it is what it is :-) It's kind of the same sound I had 2 month's ago. They were the ball bearings.
Listopad 26, 200717 r Hello! probably you've fixed your car already, but in my opinion, as it's heard in your movie, the tension pulley comes to an end. The pulley which tenses the transission or generator belt, stay calm not the camshaft belt ;) So, give some message if you fix it.
